Recruitment Models
The most common option among clients
Fee is payable only upon successful placement of the candidate
The fee amount is a predetermined percentage of the candidate's base salary
Niche roles are more likely to be retained, specialised experience & network are crucial in a retained search
Retained searches typically have the same price as contingent searches
A retainer is paid upfront to secure a recruiter for the search & upon successful placement, the upfront charge is subtracted from the overall percentage fee
Exclusive agreement with an agency reduces time spent working with multiple agencies & similar to the Contingent model, the agency is compensated only after successfully filling the role
Client trusts the agency to identify the required talent, so Exclusivity can be agreed upon for a set time frame
If the ideal candidate isn't found within the agreed time, the client can reopen the position to other agencies
